The Role

The Logistics & Fulfillment Manager is responsible for the performance, budget and coordination of all warehousing and freight services to support all Channels. They will work with the Distribution Center (DC) and 3rd Party Locations to insure on hand inventory accuracy and will play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth flow of goods through the supply chain, contributing to the success of the business. The ideal candidate for the role will be solution oriented, able to work in a dynamic environment, strive to work smarter not harder, and will bring 2 to 4 years of experience in inventory and operations/fulfillment with a strong background and competency in supply chain practices. We are also looking for someone with a high proficiency in Excel, strong attention to detail, strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize is a must. Experience working in an ERP system like NetSuite as well as EDI implementation experience is a plus.

This position could be remote or hybrid in Los Angeles, but would be working CST hours, and will report to the Senior Director of Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfillment:
    • Manage fulfillment of D2C orders to insure they are shipped within SLA and that the DC ships clean daily; addresses aging D2C orders daily
    • Work with Customer Service (CS) to provide any missing information needed to process D2C orders timely, coordinate D2C order cancellations as needed, support CS on D2C order issues due to Fulfillment or Logistic Issues
    • Manage Wholesale Customer order cycle from PO transmission to the DC, coordination of fulfillment with the DC to meet Customer requested ship date, insuring orders are packed out per Customer routing requirements, Advanced Shipping Notification (ASN) in Customer’s vendor portal, coordinating shipping or pickup of Customer orders with their Logistics Team, Fulfillment in NetSuite to SKU/Qty/Batch Code (as applicable) detail, insuring invoice/s are issued for orders once shipped
    • Coordinate all product shipment requests from DC by creating necessary sale orders in ERP or uploading CSV files for Gifting/Marketing requests and working with DC on fulfillment, as well as communicate shipping method to meet desired ship and delivery dates, and communicating out tracking as needed
    • Project Manage all new Customer set ups with the DC, including routing guide requirements, customer SKU’s, EDI requirements
  • Item Set Up / Inventory Management / EDI:
    • Responsible for item creation and maintenance in DC WMS system for all product, collateral, and shipping supplies inventoried at the DC, as well as the set up and auditing of all Bill of Materials (BOM) in DC WMS for any Sets/On Demand Sets (ie website bundles) they assemble/fulfill on behalf of the brand
    • Monitor material receiving at all supply locations and investigates discrepancies during the receipt process to resolve/eliminate process deficiencies on a daily basis
    • Posts inventory receipts in ERP system for goods delivered to DC, including posting of work orders/assembly builds tied to the receipts as needed
    • Works closely with the warehouse to ensure FEFO/FIFO fulfillment practices are being applied
    • Reconciles DC inventory to ERP inventory weekly to insure they are aligned, reconciles discrepancies with DC or within ERP system as needed
    • Requests quarterly (or as needed) cycle counts on key SKU’s and shipping supplies
    • Manages RTV Cycle from notifying DC of impending RTV, RTV receipt, processing/assessment of returned product, posting of RTV units in ERP system
    • Reconciles Wholesale short shipments and provides necessary paperwork to dispute short ship claims or request inventory & labor credit from DC for the short shipments
    • Monitors expiry of products in inventory and reports out to Supply Chain on products that are within 6 months of expiration to begin obsolescence process
    • Coordinates product destruction as needed and ensures inventory adjustments are posted in a timely manner in DC WMS as well as ERP system
    • Lead EDI implementation with EDI provider for new Customers from identifying EDI requirements, participating in EDI testing, EDI set up in ERP system as well as with the DC
  • Logistics:
    • Work with Logistic providers to arrange and track freight for finished good deliveries or movements to/from the DC to ensure delivery by required date as needed
    • Provide any additional documentation needed for shipments (ie commercial invoices, SLI, AUSFTA, etc) to ensure shipments move and arrive on time
    • Reconcile invoices from freight forwarders
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Audit DC invoices to ensure labor, fulfillment, shipping, and storage charges are accurate
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, then implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Develop and implement new processes or technologies to enhance fulfillment efficiency. Generate regular reports on fulfillment metrics and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent on-job education preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in Global Supply Chain, Logistics, and Inventory Management experience in relevant industry
  • Expertise managing complex supply chains from component to finished product
  • Creative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Business and Google Suite with Advanced Excel Skills
  • ERP and MRP experience, especially in NetSuite, is a bonus
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Enthusiasm for developing systems and processes across a growing organization
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, “startup” environment
  • Actively supports and contributes to the success of other departments

Our target compensation range for this role is between $80,000 and $95,000 annually.  Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
